The winner of 75 ball bingo is the first person to mark a specific pattern of called numbers on their bingo card. These may be straight line or could be any other predefined pattern such as covering every corner.

In the 90 ball game the cards are laid out in three rows of nine columns. The first column contains numbers selected from the numbers 1 to 9, the second numbers from the numbers 10 to 19, and so on through the decades until the final column which contains numbers selected from 80 to 90. Not every column contains three numbers as most columns have between one and three blank spaces. This is because each row on the card has only five numbers along with four blank spaces.

In most 90 ball games, generally there are three winning positions. These are the first person to mark a complete row, the first person to mark two rows, and the first person to mark every number on the card.
